Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support at Oklahoma City embraced the Halloween spirit for the third consecutive year, delivering more than 500 goodie-filled bags to employees across 11 buildings, boosting morale throughout its workforce.
Employees assigned to Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support at Oklahoma City take part in the SkillsBridge program, a new initiative designed by the organization to bridge the gap between military service and civilian careers within DLA at OKC and the Department of War.
Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support at Jacksonville kicked off the fall season with a Chili Cookoff and Jersey Day team-building event on Naval Air Station Jacksonville in Florida. Reminiscent of a lively tailgate, the event which was designed to foster togetherness and strengthen bonds within the workforce, showcased camaraderie between Weapons Support at Jacksonville personnel and local fire fighters.
As Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support unites the agency’s supply operations in Richmond and Columbus under a single command, leaders are focused on a clear mission: revolutionizing support for the warfighter while safeguarding the well-being of its workforce and celebrating the unique strengths of its teams.
Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support (Richmond) employees gathered in person and online Oct. 9 as Army Lt. Gen. Mark Simerly, DLA director; Army Command Sgt. Maj. Petra Casarez, DLA senior enlisted leader; and Air Force Brig. Gen. Patrick Launey, DLA Weapons Support (Richmond) commander, led a town hall focused on transformation, readiness and recognition of workforce excellence.
